The Sisters of St. Anthony of Fondwa

Activities

• The Sisters run an orphanage, providing loving care to over 60 children.

• The Sisters run the primary and secondary school in Fondwa, educating over 550 children from K-13th grade.  They also run a preschool in Tomgato and in Kafelompre, preparing the youngest children to enter primary school.

• At the professional school, the Sisters teach classes in cooking, sewing and plumbing, improving employment opportunities for their students.

​

• At the Association of Peasants of Fondwa (APF) Center, the Sisters take care of visitors and volunteers and supervise the staff. They're in charge of all of the administrative work at the APF Center.

​

• At the health clinics: The Sisters run a clinic in Fondwa and in Kafelompre, as well as mobile clinics, providing the only health care for miles around.

​

• At the Parish of Fondwa, the Sisters assist the priests and participate in different activities of the Parish such as the choir, the liturgical committee and the preparation of the sacraments.

​

• In the Women Groups, the Sisters motivate the women to take responsibilities in the community and to get involved in small business activities such as food processing, coffee processing, and raising animals.
